An IDEAL Nabor Scholarship Endowment Fund was started in 2020 with a generous contribution by Nabor House alumnus Rod Stoll. This fund has thus far secured a $1000 scholarship award to the active chapter member voted annually as the IDEAL Nabor.
Donations continue to be accepted from all Nabor alumni and friends to help grow the endowment for additional scholarship awards. Pease contact Rod Stoll or Greg Stierwalt if you are interested in becoming a fund contributor.

Nolan Lock
Avon, Ill. Ag Engineering I feel that Nolan displays the ideals exemplified through the IDEAL Nabor Award simply because of his everyday behavior. Nolan is the type of guy that is rarely fully at rest; either he is studying or he is with a group of guys socializing. Both I feel worthy of any man’s time. These past few semesters I have been able to watch Nolan and learn from his actions. He is the type of leader that acts as a servant. He doesn’t ask someone else to do something that he feels should be done; he goes and does the work himself. Nolan is a great role model and is worthy to be called IDEAL. |

Mitchell Daugherty
It was an honor to live at the house while Mitch Daugherty was around, the only regret we have is that he should've come for all four years instead of two. Mitch exemplifies what it means to be a Nabor. While pledging as a Junior, Mitch worked harder than anyone else and humbly excepted work duties from those who were younger than him. Despite his rigorous pre-med curriculum Mitch always found time to do more than his part at the house. He took on the role of work chairman during the difficult new house transition and took on the role of house president during his last semester as an undergrad--a time when most med students take some time to relax. Mitch lives his life with great focus on integrity, dedication, excellence, attitude, and leadership and is extremely deserving of this award. |

Nolan Lock
Avon, Ill. Ag Engineering Nolan is an outstanding guy and one of my closest friends. He is an IDEAL Nabor because no matter what he always has a positive attitude, even in less-than-positive situations. He is one of the hardest working men in the house when it comes to his education, and he always makes time for his friends when it's important. His leadership is unparalleled in the house and everyone respects his opinion whether they agree or not, as he does likewise. |
2011
Victor Johnson
Paxton, Ill. Crop Sciences No one cares more about Nabor House than Victor. He always put more time and effort into the house than anyone else. He did all of his work without wanting or expecting any recognition for his efforts. It hasn't been at all surprising to me that he has continued to show dedication to the house after graduation by becoming an active chapter adviser. He continues to put more into Nabor House than he got out, which very few people can say. He's a special individual, and I'm lucky to have him as a pledge brother. |
2010
Logan Frye
Easton, Ill. Ag Business Logan Frye is humble and hardworking. Logan earned an IDEAL Nabor award his freshman year because he truly applied the foundational values of the house to his everyday life. Logan's exemplary leadership often brought disgruntled Nabors into agreement and preserved a cooperative attitude throughout the house. During the transition into the new house, Logan was instrumental in maintaining house harmony despite extremely challenging circumstances. For these reasons, there has never been a doubt in my mind that Logan is destined for great things. |
2009
Andy Morehouse
Pawnee, Ill. Andy Morehouse was truly an I.D.E.A.L. Nabor. He skillfully balanced education, cooperation, and recreation through his involvement at the university and Nabor House. He excelled at every office he held, showed consideration for everyone he worked with, and often went beyond his obligation. I am honored to call him a friend and pledge brother. |
2008
Lucas Martin
Kirkwood, Ill. Lucas Martin is a man of character, ideals, and dependability. As a man of clear intentions, you never had to wonder where Lucas stood on any issue. Lucas could always be counted on to do more than his share of the work. I admired Lucas’ approachable nature and his ability to lighten the mood whenever times got dull around the house. |
2007
Jay Kelley
Princeville, Ill. When Jay decided he wanted to do something, there was nothing that got in his way. Whether it was getting an A on an exam, or winning a backlot basketball game, his dedication was unmatched by any person I have ever been around. It didn’t take long to see he would succeed not only in college, but in life. He made a positive impact on both Nabor House and the College of ACES. There are not many people as deserving as Jay to have won an IDEAL Nabor award. |
2006

Princeville, Ill. Jay Kelley is a man of excellence. His every action is intended and purposeful. His prestigious leadership has helped to mold Nabor House into a solid fraternity rich in brotherhood and cooperation. His dedication to the men of Nabor House is an inspiration to all of us. |

2004 (Co-Honorees)
Bryan Schallenberg
New Douglas, Ill. Bryan was the embodiment of hard work and cooperative living. Bryan always went above and beyond serving his roles in the house and helping out his fellow fraternity brothers. For example, rather than simply preparing a simple homecoming meal, Bryan would stay up all night roasting an entire hog. He was also never afraid to get his hands dirty when working on house improvement chores. |
Jesse Edlefson
Manlius, Ill. Jesse has been one of the main people in the house I look to as an example. As one of my pledge brothers, I learned that I could always trust his judgment and that he was always willing to listen to what you had to say. I only hope that I can be as good a person and as good a friend as I have seen him be. |
