Bible Studies / VespersIn addition to weekly Bible studies, Nabor House holds a Vespers Dinner each semester. At Vespers Dinner, the members eat a nice meal, followed by a message presented by a pastor or priest from a local church.
Each member of Nabor House has an affiliation with a church before coming into the house, so our weekly Bible studies are a good way to grow your faith with house brothers at Nabor House. |
Intramural SportsNabor House has a strong tradition in intramural sports. Nabors participate in football, basketball, slow-pitch softball and another sport of the Sports Chair’s choosing. Nabor House has compiled numerous league championships and is perennially in the top of the Fraternity Orange division.

Scholarship DinnerEvery semester, Nabor House holds a Steak-n-Beans Scholarship Dinner to commemorate the previous semester’s academic accomplishments. Members of the house above the average house GPA for the semester eat steak, while members below the line eat beans. The Scholarship Chairman invites a prominent U of I professor to give an academic address to the entire chapter after the meal. (Don't worry, the professors always eat steak.)

Walkout
Each Fall, the members of the Nabor House pledge class leaves Nabor House for a weekend of recreation with each other. Members are encouraged to go to the home town of one or more members and participate in team-building activities, as well as attend the hometown church service of one of the members.
